Since finding out I was pregnant I was convinced I didn’t want to find out the gender of our baby. What I didn’t realize was how much this was going to affect how I planned to decorate the nursery. In the beginning, I was set on a gender neutral nursery, I wanted a room that was calm and peaceful. It wasn’t until I started looking at all of the gender-specific nurseries online that I began to doubt myself.
I fell in love with the delicate and feminine rooms designed for sweet baby girls. Rooms full of soft fabrics, beautiful florals, and bright colors. And then there are the handsome nurseries built for little boys. Rich colors, rustic wooden elements, and vintage toys make these nurseries uniquely masculine.
I started to struggle with the idea of finding out if we are having a precious little girl or boy. It would let me have such freedom while planning for this little one’s arrival! But I reminded myself why we chose to keep this ultimate secret from the beginning and I am determined, once again, to design a beautiful, gender neutral nursery.
I created a design board to give me inspiration and help decorating the perfect baby’s room. A room where Baby G will feel calm, tranquil and peaceful.
